The Information Security Analyst is a key contributor for all aspects of USAN’s Information Security program to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of USAN’s and USAN’s customer’s information and IT assets.

Position Objectives

  • Daily tuning, monitoring, operation for USAN’s SIEM system.
  • Primary resource for the management of USAN’s vulnerability scanning program utilizing USAN’s current VA platform
  • Oversee implementation, configuration, and on-going support and monitoring for technological solutions utilized to maintain and enhance USAN’s cyber security program including IPS/IDS, FIM, UBA, IAM, MFA, SIEM, etc.
  • Key contributor for 3rd party information security audits
  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance for USAN’s security awareness training program.
  • Assist Information Security Manager in the performance of risk assessments, Incident Response, security assessments, audits, etc.
  • Review Daily reports to identify cyber security events and maintain compliance requirements.
  • Assist with developing and implementing processes in support of information security
  • Assist with gap remediation as required
  • Remain current on information security trends
  • Investigate innovative technology to maintain USAN’s information security environment

Responsibilities

  • SIEM – Day to day operations and monitoring
  • IDS – Assist in tuning and incident response
  • IAM – Configuration, management for USAN’s 2-factor authentication system
  • FIM – Work with Windows and Unix engineers for configuration, management, and 3rd level incident response.
  • SAT – Monitor and maintain compliance with SAT training
  • Risk Assessment – on a per project basis and on-going periodic reviews.
  • Vulnerability Assessment – Perform quarterly VA assessments as required by policy and initial VA assessments of new systems.
  • Forensic Tools – maintain readiness to invoke forensics tools as may be required in response to incident management events.
  • Entitlement Management – Ensure timely completion of bi-annual entitlement reviews.
  • Review daily logs for security incidents or other unusual activities
  • Work with sales team to assist with customer generated information security questionnaires.
  • Assist senior Information Security Manager for all 3rd party audits including: PCI – HIPAA – SOC2
  • All additional duties as may be assigned by supervisors.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related 4-year engineering/technical degree
  • 4+ years of experience working in an information security role
  • Ability to work to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects and meet organizational objectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP, CCSP, CEH certifications
  • Experience evaluating, implementing, and operating network security systems
  • Experience with PCI, SOC-2, and HIPAA compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to enable effective security incident and problem resolution
  • Experience performing vulnerability and exploit research and analysis
